Nutrients: Calcium, chromium, copper, iron, iodine, magnesium, manganese, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, D and E.
Drug interactions: No known drug interactions.
Descriptions: This herb is specific for eye disorders.
Internal uses: It has been used for weak and tired eyes, failing vision, inflammation, conjunctivitis, ulcers and eye strain. It has strengthened the eyes and promotes elasticity of the nerves and optical light devices. It has been especially helpful for sore, itchy eyes that have discharge. It has stimulated the liver and helped to renew the blood; thus, relieving conditions that result in unclear vision and confused thought. It has also been used for nasal
congestion and catarrh (especially with a watery nasal discharge) and as a mouthwash or gargle for sore throats.
Other indications: glaucoma, cataracts, sneezing, earache, hay fever, colds and measles with these symptoms.
External uses: It has been used as an eyewash or compress.
Suggested dosage: 2--4 grams 3 times daily. Tincture 2--6 ml 3 times daily.
