Diabetes manifests in two variations, Type 1 and Type 2.
Type 1 diabetes happens when the body is not able to produce a sufficient amount of insulin, it is also known as Insulin-dependent Diabetes mellitus and usually requires insulin shots to metabolize glucose. Type 1 is also known as juvenile diabetes.
Type II diabetes is characterized by the insulin's inability or decreased efficacy in keeping blood sugar from rising beyond the optimal level. Often, heightened blood glucose during pregnancy can be a predecessor for Type II diabetes which becomes gestational diabetes in such cases.
Studies conducted on various natural substitutes and herbs for diabetes have shown that herbal remedies contain various naturally occurring chemicals and enzymes which can help in reducing the effects of diabetes. It has also been shown to be beneficial for adrenal glands, hypoglycemia, infection and pancreatic disorders.
