Wild Indigo is a herb to be considered wherever there is a focused infection. The root of Wild indigo has been used for treating bacterial infections and relieving inflammations. It may be used for infections of the ear, throat, and nose. Additionally, it is beneficial for sinus and nasal inflammatory conditions, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and laryngitis.
Applied as a mouthwash and as an oral remedy, the herb is used for healing gingivitis, mouth sores, and regulating pyorrhea.
If used regularly, it can aid in treating lymphatic gland inflammations and enlargement, as well as decrease fevers.
As a topical remedy, the herb is spread over sore nipples and infectious sores to help heal them. Used as a douche, the remedy may ease leucorrhoea (A whitish or yellowish vaginal discharge).
For the treatment of infections, it may be used with Echinacea and Myrrh. For lymphatic problems, it can be combined with Cleavers and Poke Root.
