Description: Blessed thistle is believed to have great power in the purification and circulation of the blood. It is a specific for women in that it has been able to balance the hormones. Internal uses: It is such a good blood purifier that drinking a cup of thistle tea twice a day will cure chronic headaches. It has also been used for stomach and digestive problems, gas in the intestines, constipation, gallbladder and liver troubles. It has been very effective for dropsy, heart, lungs and kidneys. It is claimed that the warm tea given to mothers will produce a good supply of
milk. Good tonic for girls that are premenstrual. It has also been found that it helps in treating cancer as well as infections, fevers, aids with cramping, internal parasites and worms.
Other uses:
calcium deposits, cancer, depression, fevers, headaches, hysteria and memory problems. Blessed Thistle is not recommended for internal use by the FDA as of 2008.
Suggested dosage: 4--6 grams daily. Tincture: 2 ml 3 times daily.

Description: Promotes the functioning of the liver, kidneys, spleen and clears the lungs. It is mainly used for digestive disorders. It has an abundance of flavonoids which exert mild estrogenic effects.
Internal uses: It has been useful for colic, cramps, gas, excessive mucus, indigestion and abdominal distension. Fennel Seed has been used to prevent griping when strong laxatives are indicated. It has helped in the treatment of kidney stones. When combined with Uva Ursi, it makes an effective treatment for cystitis. Other uses: suppresses appetite, intestinal problems, increases milk, morning sickness and increases urination. Has been used after chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments for cancer. Description: Marshmallow is very soothing and healing to the inflamed respiratory, alimentary, intestinal and genito-urinary areas. Internal uses: It has been beneficial for the stomach and the small intestine, urinary and
respiratory tracts, kidney and bladder problems. It is a mild expectorant for tight, severe coughs. It increases and enriches breast milk. It has also been used for pharyngitis, laryngitis, pulmonary complaints, emphysema, diabetes, renal hemorrhage, diarrhea, dysentery, inflammation, malnutrition, rickets, weak digestion, inflamed or swollen joints and muscles, chronic constipation, gravel, kidney and bladder inflammation, infections, burns, bronchitis, gonorrhea, cystitis, colds, hoarseness, vaginal irritation, pneumonia, all kidney diseases, psoriasis, rectal irritation, gout,
abscesses, mastitis, gum boils and neuralgia. Also good for Crohn's disease, gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer and ulcerative colitis.
External uses: Also an excellent herb for poultices and fomentations to be used for bruises, sprains, aching muscles, insect bites, skin inflammations, splinters swellings, ulcerated conditions and boils (should be applied warm). May also be used as a compress or eyewash for inflamed eyes.
Suggested dosage: 6 grams or 5--15 ml (1--3 tsp) of tincture 3 times daily.
