Therapeutic actions: Anti-microbial, Anti-viral,
Anti-depressant, Anti-ulcer.

Description: Huang Bai clears heat toxins and dries
dampness in the lower jiao. It is used to treat diarrhea and dysentery,
painful, burning urination with infection, jaundice, and other conditions
present as a result of damp-heat toxicity. Internal: It has been used for
increasing Growth Hormone. It can also protect against neuro degeneration (by
increasing the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)). By so doing, it can
help in cases of Parkinsons, Alzheimer's and Dementia.
This is because it is high in Berberine. It can also reduce
brain fog. There has been research done with Huang bai and Magnolia bark in
where it helped male adults with stress, mood, energy, and anger.
In another study with women, it helped reduce anxiety, appetite,
and stress, while improving sleep. It has also been used for ulcers, early puberty,
pelvic inflammatory disease, arthritis, allergies, diabetes, prostate issues
and other conditions.
It has been known to protect against ulcer formation
induced by alcohol and NSAIDs. And Huang Bai's anti-ulcer effects are more
powerful than the drug omeprazole. It can clear yin deficiency heat with
such signs as hot flashes, night sweats, "steaming bones", irritability and
soreness in the lower back and behind the knees.
